Rosetta blooms in Mountain’s Edge

Today and Sunday, Pardee Homes will celebrate the grand opening of Rosetta, a neighborhood in the master-planned community of Mountain's Edge in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley, according to regional sales director Rob Tuvell.

Refreshments will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

"We invite families to discover Rosetta this weekend, as part of a unique master-planned community developed especially for family fun," Tuvell said.

Residents of Mountain's Edge have access to community parks, playgrounds, baseball fields, sports fields, outdoor amphitheater and picnic areas.

With homes priced from the mid-$200,000s, Rosetta offers two-story homes with three to four bedrooms, 21/2 to three baths and two-car garages in about 1,444 to 1,881 square feet. Floor plans include great rooms and personal options such as covered patios and lofts, depending on the plan selected.

A Pardee EnergySmart neighborhood, homes at Rosetta have been enhanced with energy-efficient features, including spectrally selective glass to help keep homes cooler in summer and warmer in winter, according to Tuvell.

Other EnergySmart features include ceiling insulation and sealed ducts for improved air quality.

Each EnergySmart home is independently certified so that it exceeds energy code requirements by at least 15 percent, he said.

"It's all part of Pardee's commitment to build homes for the way families want to live," Tuvell said.

Rosetta is adjacent to Pardee's San Mateo neighborhood, which features floor plans with as many as four bedrooms, 21/2 baths and two-car garages in about 1,577 to 1,823 square feet.

Prices range from $262,000 to $283,000.

To visit Rosetta, take Blue Diamond Road west to Buffalo Drive and turn left into the Mountain's Edge community. Proceed south on Buffalo to Cactus Avenue, turn left and follow the signs to the neighborhood.
