April 2, 2010 - 11:00 pm
Kingwood Crown Series by R/S Development is selling three single-story floor plans in The Vistas village of Summerlin. Plans range from 1,647 to 1,828 square feet and are priced from the mid-$200,000s. Custom design and energy-efficient options are available.
According to Randy Schaefer, president of R/S Development, Kingwood Crown Series offers homebuyers single-story living in one of the valley's most desirable master-planned communities. "Summerlin's location, amenities and aesthetics contribute to the overall home value," Schaefer said. "Summerlin homebuyers aren't just buying a home, they're buying a lifestyle."
That includes more than 500 acres of parks, more than 150 miles of trails, 30 retail centers and office parks, 25 public and private schools, more than a dozen houses of worship, nine golf courses and three resorts.
"And we still have 7,500 acres of future development," said Peggy Chandler, senior vice president of land sales for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin.
There are several community amenities within walking distance from Kingwood Crown Series. These include five parks including the 25-acre Vistas Community Park, walking and cycling trails, Linda Givens Elementary School, Vista Commons neighborhood retail center, Canyon Pointe Shopping Center and Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa.
"Homebuyers at Kingwood Crown Series have the luxury of moving into a neighborhood with all the amenities in place," Schaefer said.
Kingwood Crown Series is R/S Development's eighth Summerlin neighborhood. The homebuilder is one of Summerlin's original builders, opening its first neighborhood in The Hills village in 1991.
Since then, R/S has completed more than 400 homes in seven neighborhoods throughout Summerlin and is building nearly 100 homes in its newest neighborhood, Kingwood Crown Series.
To visit the neighborhood, travel west on Charleston Boulevard past of Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, and make a right on Vista Center Drive and another right on Park Vista Drive. Kingwood is the first neighborhood on the right.
Developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties Inc., Summerlin began to take shape in 1990.
Located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley, Summerlin encompasses 22,500 acres with 7,500 still remaining to accommodate future growth within the master plan, including the community's urban core of Summerlin Centre. There are more than 98,000 residents.
