Ryland debuts neighborhood

Today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Ryland Homes celebrates the grand opening of Amado Pointe in Summerlin. The event will include a live radio remote from one of Las Vegas' top stations as well as free coffee and pastries from local gourmet coffee truck.

"It will be a fun event and is open to the public, so we invite you to bring your families out to tour this beautiful new neighborhood and its incredible amenities," said Kelli Ball-Cunningham, sales counselor.

Amado Pointe is in Summerlin's Mesa village. It is the only new single-family home collection in Summerlin to offer rooftop decks, which give residents sweeping views of the Spring Mountain range, city and the Strip.

Amado Pointe's two-story floor plans range from 2,175 to 2,389 square feet and include as many as four bedrooms, as many as 3½ baths and oversized two-car garages. Prices start at $273,990.

The home sites are pool-sized and average 35 feet deep, according to Ball-Cunningham.

"Most also include a covered loggia, or patio," she said.

Amado's Meadow floor plan includes three bedrooms, 3½ baths, loft, covered second-floor balcony and an oversized two-car garage.

"All of the major living areas are on the first floor in this unique home," Ball-Cunningham said. "The master bedroom, kitchen, living room, dining room and laundry are all on the first floor. A second master bedroom, complete with walk-in closets and a full bath, oversized loft with a covered mirador (balcony) and additional half bath is located on the second floor. So you can choose whether you want to use the second floor on a regular basis or just use it for guests or storage."

The Canyon is a 2,309-square-foot home that is available with as many as four bedrooms and as many as three baths. This split-level home has a downstairs family room, oversized laundry room and master bedroom with a walk-in closet, master bath with dual sinks and separate tub and shower. Upstairs, there is great room, dining area, den and kitchen with island and walk-in pantry.
