Ryland on fast track in sales growth
Builder magazine has named Ryland Homes the 2012 Fastest-Growing Public Homebuilder in its annual 100 issue. The Ryland Group closed 4,809 homes nationwide last year, a 41 percent increase over 2011. Locally, Ryland Homes closed more than 500 homes in 2012, according to company representatives.
“This is a coveted distinction among America’s best homebuilders,” said Dana Rogers, president of Ryland Homes’ Nevada division. “We attribute much of our success locally to building homes that are thoughtfully designed, well-constructed and energy efficient. Unique features like our signature rooftop decks are now offered in nearly every Southern Nevada Ryland community and are among our all-time most popular features.”
Ryland Homes has been building in Southern Nevada for 10 years and its parent company, The Ryland Group, celebrated its 45th anniversary last year.
“Our unique combination of a national brand and local experience has been a driving force in our success,” said Rogers. “Ryland Homes has already opened five new neighborhoods in Southern Nevada this year with plans to open several more. We strategically select locations that are near schools, shopping and freeway access that also have amenities and views of the city and mountains. Our signature rooftop decks offer sweeping views of some of Southern Nevada’s most beautiful sights.”
Among Ryland Homes’ newest communities with rooftop decks are Evergreen in Mountain’s Edge in the southwest and Verada View in the Providence in the northwest Las Vegas Valley.
Evergreen offers four two-story floor plans ranging from 2,588 to 3,700 square feet. The homes can be built with as many as six bedrooms and as many as three baths with three car garages. The modern plans offer features like dual master suites, tech areas and walk-in pantries, as well as oversized garages on large homesites. Each plan is available with Ryland’s signature rooftop deck option.
In addition to the many parks and open spaces in Mountain’s Edge, Evergreen residents have their private club at Yellowstone. It has three buildings with a fitness center, locker rooms, meeting rooms, big-screen TV, full kitchen and a children’s activity center. Evergreen residents also have access to three swimming pools, spa, basketball court, barbecue patio and outdoor play structure.
Ryland Homes opened Verada View this spring. The neighborhood offers both two- and three-story homes with rooftop decks.
“Verada View is one of our most scenic neighborhoods in Southern Nevada,” sales agent Tracy Carter said. “And now that we have developed a reputation for our rooftop decks, homebuyers are buying not only for our beautiful homes but also for the unique views they have of the city and mountains.”
Two two-story and four three-story homes are offered at Verada View, ranging from 1,974 to 2,420 square feet. These residences are available with as many as three bedrooms, as many as four baths and two-car garages.
The company also was recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency this year with a 2013 Energy Star Leadership in Housing Award winner. The award recognizes Ryland’s local contributions to energy-efficient construction and environmental protection by building more than 50 Energy Star-certified homes this year.
Nearly every Ryland Homes community in Southern Nevada is Energy Star-certified.
“These features not only help the environment but help your family budget with lower energy costs,” Carter said. “Energy Star-certified homes save up to 30 percent in energy costs every month.”
Ryland Homes is selling new homes throughout Southern Nevada. Sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 6 p.m. Friday.
