Ryland’s Mountain’s Edge neighborhoods nearly sold
Ryland Homes' Ellingwood and Augusta neighborhoods located within Mountain's Edge, a master-planned community in the southwestern valley has 15 homes available.
"With the new school season just around the corner, many families are looking forward to getting settled into a new home in a safe and secure community. Both Ellingwood and Augusta are gated communities and offer the coveted Mountain's Edge lifestyle," said Randy Char, vice president of sales and marketing for Ryland Homes.
Five floor plans are offered at Augusta, ranging from 2,400 to 3,200 square feet and priced from $224,990. The single-story Corbel model, for example, has four bedrooms, 2½ baths and a two-car garage.
"Our single-story plans are always in demand and out of the remaining homes in Ellingwood and Augusta, we have a few single stories remaining," Char said.
At Ellingwood, Char says the Angora plan with 3,200 square feet is one of the top sellers. It features as many as five bedrooms, three baths and a three-car garage.
"Buyers are especially pleased with the three-car garage because it allows for extra room and storage space," he said.
Mountain's Edge features more than 500 acres of land devoted to open space, parks and trail systems. The parks and trails cater to fitness enthusiasts and those who want to embrace the beautiful scenery of the natural desert environment. Highlights of Mountain's Edge include Exploration Peak, a fully restored natural mountain park, and Exploration Park, a Western-themed park at the mountain's base. The park includes picnic areas, playgrounds, walking trails, replicas of a Western town and Indian village, an archaeology dig site, an outdoor amphitheater and more.
Residents will soon have another park to enjoy as construction is under way on the 20-acre Nathaniel Jones Park in the northwest part of Mountain's Edge. This park will boast family amenities, turf areas and walking trails. It is slated to open by the end of this year.
Residents can also partake in community events, such as the 21st annual Candlelighters 5K and one-mile Race for our Kids slated for Sept. 17. The race will take place at Exploration Park.
"There's no shortage of events and amenities at Mountain's Edge," he added. "Between the park resources and the community events, you can make new friends and stay connected with your neighbors all year round."
Ellingwood and Augusta are just a few miles from Red Rock National Conservation Area, which contains petrified sand dunes, more than 30 miles of hiking trails and stunning scenery.
All homes at Ellingwood and Augusta are certified with the Energy Star Plus program. New homes feature low-e windows that keep out 77 percent of ultra- violet rays, dual-zone heating and air conditioning with increased control over air flow and compact florescent lighting with 13-watt light bulbs that provide the light of 60-watt bulbs.
In addition, there are no improvement district fees (SIDs) at Ellingwood or Augusta in Mountain's Edge.
