See the horrifying mistake for yourself

It was good to see my Sunday column "The President's Horrifying Mistake" get such wide national readership over the 4th of July weekend. It was the best-read story both Sunday and Monday in the R-J, which makes it pretty much assured it was the best-read story out of Nevada. It was also one of the top two (the other being a column by George Will) best-read articles on Real Clear Politics for the weekend.
I am sure the column, which you can read here in full, generated readership from the military community as well as the political community on both sides of whether President Obama is a good president or not. But, I hope the column touched readers who agree with me that it is a national problem that we don't know the stories of our military heroes better, much less have a commander-in-chief who can't keep their names straight.
That said, it was sad to see some from the wingnut peanut gallery jump to the defense of President Obama by negatively invoking the name of former President Bush, as if Bush had anything to do with Obama's misstatements. Some even suggested that Obama's comments were twisted to make them out to be worse than they really were.
So, for you pathetic deniers out there, here's a video passed along by former Review-Journal editor Tom Mitchell. You can view the president's horrifying mistake for yourself.
