SHOOTING STARS EXTRA: Auditions set Sunday for ‘Little Monsters’
July 20, 2011 - 6:34 pm
UNLV film instructor David Schmoeller has directed everybody from Chuck Connors to Klaus Kinski. And now, he wants to direct you.
That is, if you're right for a role in the upcoming crime drama "Little Monsters," which is scheduled to begin production next month. The movie represents a reunion for Schmoeller and fellow "Thor at the Bus Stop" producer May May Luong.
Auditions will be held between noon and 6 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at LightForge Studios in the Arts District.
You can find details on the available roles online at the Nevada Film Group site at http://www.facebook.com/danette.tull#!/notes/may-may-luong/casting-for-a-feature-film-tell-your-friends/10150310534551355.
"Little Monsters" focuses on two 18-year-olds trying to start over after spending eight years in separate youth prisons — for the kidnap and murder of a 3-year-old boy. Roles range from the 18- and 10-year-old versions of the lead characters to federal marshals, tabloid reporters and others involved in their controversial trial.
If you're interested in trying out, email maymay@maymayluong.com with your name, email address, phone number and the role that you would like to audition for inside the body of the email.
(If you have a recent photo/headshot and resume, send attachments. Resumes should be in either .txt, Word or PDF format.)
