Summerlin Kids’ Mix, Frozen Yogurt Festival set for May 19

Valley residents are invited to Summerlin Kids' Mix and Frozen Yogurt Festival from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. May 19 at Summerlin Centre Community Park, 1800 S. Town Center Drive.
Kids Mix is an outdoor, family-friendly festival featuring live performances, children's activities, mascot appearances and a variety of food. There is no cost to attend the event, but all-you-can-eat Golden Spoon frozen yogurt tickets are $5 per person. Other food and drink options are available for purchase.
Performers include the world's youngest disc jockey, Baby Chino, local teenage recording artist LexRox, Las Vegas School of Dance and Music and Rockin' Railroad presented by Kidville. Stefanie Scott, who appears in the role of Lexi Reed in Disney Channel's comedy series "A.N.T Farm," will sign autographs.
Activities include a super-soaker zone, rock-climbing wall, face painters, balloon artists, bounce houses, air-brush tattoos and mascot visits. Mascots include Summerlin Sam, Mohave Max, Marvel Comics Spider-Man and Captain America and "Star Wars" storm troopers.
To get to Summerlin Centre Community Park from Summerlin Parkway, exit southbound on Town Center Drive. The park is between West Charleston Boulevard and West Sahara Avenue on the east side of the street.
This year's event is sponsored and coordinated by Summerlin in partnership with CBS Radio Las Vegas. Other major sponsors are KB Home, Aloha Pacific, Golden Spoon, Adventuredome, MetroPCS, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Findlay Kia, WeightWatchers and The Smile Generation.
