November 26, 2011 - 2:01 am
Two luxury home floor plans are currently selling at Barcelona by Toll Brothers in The Paseos village of Summerlin.
The Avenida model is a 3,393-square-foot home priced in the mid-$300,000s. The Valencia model is a 3,607-square-foot home priced in the high $300,000s. Both floor plans feature four bedrooms, three baths and three-car garages. Dramatic design elements include two-story foyers, granite kitchen countertops and second floor decks.
According to Kevin Orrock, executive vice president of master-planned communities for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin, Barcelona has been one of Summerlin's best-selling neighborhoods this year.
"The spacious floorplans, location and surrounding amenities make Barcelona an easy sell," he said.
Less than 10 homes remain available for purchase.
Barcelona is located in The Paseos, Summerlin's most western village developed to date. Its location on elevated topography offers residents views of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area to the west and the Las Vegas Valley to the east. The 375-acre village features Hacienda and Mission architectural styles and is home to several residential neighborhoods, miles of walking trails and dozens of parks.
Located in the center of the village is The Paseos Park, a nearly 13-acre park home to junior soccer/tee-ball fields, a sand volleyball court, basketball court, tot lot, children's play areas, picnic pavilions, an interactive water feature, motorized toy area and open play areas. This park was voted the community's best park in the 2011 Best of Summerlin poll -- quite a feat considering there are more than 150 parks in Summerlin.
Adjacent to The Paseos village are dozens of retail and restaurant options, including Vista Commons, a quaint Albertsons-anchored neighborhood grocery center that's literally within walking distance of the village. Canyon Pointe Shopping Center, home to several restaurants and national retailers, is also within close proximity. And Red Rock Resort, located just across the Las Vegas Beltway, offers residents access to a variety of entertainment options including a movie theater, bowling alley and gaming.
To visit The Paseos village from the beltway, exit westbound on Charleston Boulevard and make a right on Desert Foothills Drive. The Barcelona sales office is located at 613 Novena St. It's open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For additional information on Barcelona, call the sales center at 702-304-9740.
Developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., Summerlin began to take shape in 1990 and has ranked in the country's top 10 best-selling master-planned communities for nearly two decades.
Located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley, Summerlin encompasses 22,500 acres with about 7,500 acres still remaining to accommodate future growth within the master plan.
The community is home to nearly 100,000 residents who enjoy amenities such as more than 150 miles of trails, 26 public and private schools, 14 houses of worship, nine golf courses, medical and cultural facilities, business parks and more than three dozen actively selling floor plans.
Homes are available in a variety of styles -- from single-family homes to townhomes, condominiums and lofts -- priced from the mid-$100,000s to more than $1 million. Custom-home sites in The Ridges are priced from the high $200,000s. Luxury apartment homes offer monthly rents starting from the $800s.
