Dodgeball league set to begin

A five-week dodgeball league is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park, 4915 Steptoe St., Suite 400. Check-in is set for 6:30 p.m. The league is for players 15 or older, and the cost is $120 per team. Play is six vs. six, and each team can have up to eight players . EARLY CAMP REGISTRATION scheduled

A one-day-only early registration for Clark County Parks and Recreation's summer overnight camps in July is set take place during an open house from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Crest Neighborhood Services Center, 4701 N. Durango Drive.

The cost of early registration is $375.

When open registration commences March 1, the price will be $400.

This fee includes all meals, snacks, activities, supplies and an official camp T-shirt. Omni Discovery Camp, for ages 8 to 12, is set to take place from July 22-27, and the On the Edge Camp, for ages 13 to 15, is set for July 15-20.

Children invited to free dental seminar

Speakers from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Dental School are scheduled to teach kids why teeth are important and how to care for them from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Whitney Library, 5175 E. Thanks to a $10,000 grant from Food 4 Less, Nevada Health Center's Mammovan is scheduled to offer low- to no-cost breast cancer screenings at selected Food 4 Less locations. Stops are scheduled from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Nov. 21 at 2255 Las Vegas Blvd. North; March 6 at 4965 E. Sahara Ave.; March 7 and May 1 at 8180 Las Vegas Blvd. South; June 5 and Sept. 4 at 1301 S. Boulder Highway; June 14 at 4001 S. Decatur Blvd.; and Aug. 16 at 1955 N. COMMUNITY MEETING TO DISCUSS
BUS schedule CHANGES

The public is encouraged to weigh in on proposed changes to Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada routes and policies from 10 a.m. to noon March 3 at Albertsons, 3010 W. Ann Road.

The North Las Vegas event is among a series of community meetings to get input on the changes.

Other events include: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 5 at the Whitney Library, 5175 E. Tropicana Ave.; 5 to 7 p.m. March 7 at the Desert Breeze Community Center, 8275 Spring Mountain Road; and 5 to 7 p.m. March 9 at Albertsons, 2910 Bicentennial Parkway in Henderson.

The proposed changes include replacing an existing transit route with a new service and eliminating service on routes that are close to other routes in the system.

Public comments will be accepted through March 16.

The proposed service changes will be presented to the commission's Board of Commissioners for final approval. Pending the board's approval, the proposed service changes will be effective May 20.
