Teacher ignores pleas, kills rabbit in front of students

An Austrian secondary school teacher is facing suspension and a disciplinary hearing after killing a rabbit in class.

The teacher of fourth year biology breeds rabbits, The Local reported. He killed it in front of students using a “captive bolt stun gun” before dissecting it.

The teenage students attending the lecture reportedly pleaded with the teacher, who was not named, not to kill the rabbit, and some even offered to buy it from him.

Students and parents complained on Facebook to the school. An Austrian newspaper reported the teacher is known for his unorthodox teaching methods, but an inspector said this time he had “gone too far.”
