Team Ford Lincoln staffers race for the ‘Cure’
Several Team Ford Lincoln employees and their friends raised more than $2,000 participating May 4 in the 19th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. This was the second year Team Ford Lincoln has participated in the event.
“So many of us have loved ones who have dealt with or are dealing with cancer,” Team Ford Lincoln human resources Director Sue Walton-Robertson said. “Every year, when we participate in the walk, it makes me believe that we’re getting one step closer to a cure.”

The Komen Southern Nevada Race for the Cure raises money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. Seventy-five percent of the race’s net income stays in Southern Nevada to fund breast health education, screening, and treatment services for the medically underserved in Clark, Nye, Lincoln, Esmeralda, White Pine and Mineral counties. The remaining 25 percent goes toward breast cancer research.
“We’re extremely proud of Sue and the Team Ford employees who participate in this race,” said Al McDonald, Team Ford Lincoln general manager. “We have such a great group here, and we are eager to support such a worthy cause.”
