The Fairways in Rhodes Ranch welcomed its first residents last month after opening for sales four months ago. The neighborhood had its first closings when five homeowners received their keys and took possession of their homes.
“The closing is the most exciting part of buying a new home, because you can walk in the front door and know it is all yours,” said Lark Lowry, sales agent at The Fairways. “We work with each homeowner to personalize the floor plan to fit their needs and make it truly their own,” she said.
The 185-home neighborhood within the Rhodes Ranch master plan offers four floor plans that have proven popular with buyers. Ranging from 2,515 to 2,903 square feet, the homes offer three to four bedrooms with 21/2 to three baths.
Three floor plans are shown as models and a fourth floor plan includes four bedrooms, 21/2 baths, an optional game room, a great room, a dining room and a two-car garage.
The Fairways’ 2515 Residence, named for its square footage, includes a great room, upstairs laundry room, breakfast nook, island kitchen, butler’s pantry and front porch. According to Lowry, the 2515 Residence is one of the neighborhood’s most popular designs.
“The first floor opens up to a great room that can be separated into living and dining rooms or used as a single space,” she said. “In the kitchen, the butler pantry provides plenty of room for food storage and a food preparation island provides additional counter space.”
On the way up to the second floor in the 2,515-square-foot plan, a large window at the first landing provides plenty of natural lighting, Lowry said.
The master suite is situated on this floor.
“The large Jacuzzi tub is surrounded by counter space ideal for towels, candles and other décor. This bath also has a niche that can be used as a vanity or for a tall dresser,” she said.
Two additional model homes at provide 2,742 and 2,903 square feet.
Residence 2742 includes a living room, formal dining room and family room that is open to the kitchen and an island kitchen. Upstairs, the master bedroom is accented with an oversized walk-in closet and a loft can be used as a fifth bedroom.
Residence 2903 includes a dining room and great room that opens to the kitchen and kitchen nook. This home also features an island kitchen and downstairs den or optional bedroom with a full bath. This floor plan has two rooms upstairs that can be converted into an optional retreat or loft.
Each model home decorated with distinctive flooring and wall treatment options as well as standard features such as standard 61/2-inch baseboards and oak cabinets.
Other included features are finished garages, ceiling fan and cable prewiring in the bedrooms, family room and den; recessed lighting in the kitchens and a rear-yard barbecue stub. Energy-saving features include blown-in cellulose insulation, low-emittance windows, programmable thermostats and a gas dryer hook-up.
