The IRS never learns

“Using The IRS For Political Oppression” was the headline on my Sunday newspaper column.

It garnered a ton of readership and was relayed across the land via other national outlets.

But now comes the Chicago Tribune with a similar editorial entitled: “The IRS Targets Political Speech Again.”

Read both this morning and tell me again how anyone with any kind of critical thinking ability — Republican or Democrat — can say that nothing is going on here.

The IRS, in cahoots with the Obama Administration looking for political advantage, is taking this country into terrible waters. It may take years to untangle the mess they create.

Read my Sunday column about the attempted intimidation of Dr. Ben Carson.

Then, read the Trib’s excellent piece on why what the IRS is attempting to do is a violation of American free speech.

You can’t do it and then say, “Fine, go ahead.”
