Sen. Barack Obama generally makes a compelling case that it is he, not Hillary, who has the better judgment to be president of the United States. His instincts, he says, on the Iraq war and other issues have just been better. More consistent. Less political.
He has a good case against Hillary. Not so much against McCain.
Now comes more public scrutiny on Obama’s pastor in Chicago. Obama’s spiritual leader of 20 years — the man who married him, baptized his children — is going to be a weight around Obama’s neck.
