This is what a flaming palm tree in high wind looks like — VIDEO

A palm tree caught fire in the mid-city area of Los Angeles Christmas morning, with high winds sending burning fronds down the street.

Firefighters responded about 3 a.m. at Venice Boulevard and South Mansfield Avenue. The fire was extinguished in 20 minutes, KTLA reported.

High winds crossed Southern California and Nevada Christmas morning, causing power outages in some areas of Los Angeles.
