Towbin hosts smart-living party
March 27, 2009 - 9:00 pm
To celebrate the smart fortwo's first anniversary, smart center Las Vegas will host "Eat Smart, Drive Smart, Live Smart," a celebration for current and future smart fortwo owners. The event will take place Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. and is open to the public.
"Eat Smart, Drive Smart, Live Smart" will feature a healthy living fair with eco-friendly tips, contests for current fortwo owners and raffle drawings and test drives throughout the day.
The event is a chance to explore the smart fortwo, said Jesika Towbin, director of operations for Towbin Automotive and the smart center Las Vegas.
"So many people are curious about the smart fortwo, its eco-friendly features and its following," Towbin said. "This is the perfect time to learn all that and more in a really fun way."
Guests will have the opportunity to taste organic products from Whole Foods Market and get desert-planting tips from the gardeners of the Springs Preserve and Southern Nevada Water Authority, as well as receive smart driving tips from the smart center, healthy lifestyle tips from Friends of Red Rock Canyon and the American Heart Association and tips on efficient home living.
Current smart fortwo owners will deck out their cars for a processional, starting at 12:30 p.m., and a contest. A drawing for the grand raffle prize, valued at $500, will be drawn at 4 p.m.
Additionally, the American Heart Association will be selling raffle tickets for its custom-made "heart smart" smart fortwo, painted in a beautiful candy-apple red. Tickets are $50 each.
Smart center Las Vegas is located at 5550 W. Sahara Ave. For more information about the event, call 253-7000.
