Trading Obama access for softball coverage

That's the talk among the Washington press corps these days. Many writers -- such as Newsweek's Jonathan Alter, NBC's Chuck Todd, MSNBC's Richard Wolffe, The Washington Post's Bob Woodward and David Maraniss, the New York Times' Jodi Kantor and New Yorker writers David Remnick and Washington correspondent Ryan Lizza -- are just some of the journalists who plan to do books on President Obama.
The problem is access. And the question is will they trade access to the president in return for favorable coverage of the president.
