Tran wins second World Series of Poker gold bracelet

Professional poker player J.C. Tran won his second World Series of Poker gold bracelet last night.

The 32-year old Tran defeated a field of 436 players in the $2,500 buy-in pot-limit Omaha tournament at the Rio.

His winnings of $235,685 pushed his World Series of Poker winnings to $1,653,992 with 27 in-the-money finishes.

He won a no-limit hold'em event last year.

Two Las Vegas residents made the final table.

Local insurance broker Chad Layne finished seventh for his eighth series cash, and John Juanda finished ninth for his third trip to a final table this year.
