Tuscan Cliffs showcases home theater, high-tech sound systems

With technology and an understanding of its residents' passions, Tuscan Cliffs offers multiple entertainment options for residents in the Southern Highlands community.
Pacific Southwest Development offers entertainment areas in four luxury floor plans at its semi custom luxury home collection.
"Each of our four base floor plans were designed with entertainment in mind," said Michael Goeth, sales agent at Tuscan Cliffs. "Whether our residents are passionate about music, film, games or their wine collections, we can create unique spaces for them to share it with their family and friends."
Each home is available with a Crestron system, which provides homeowners the option of using remote-control technology for heating and air conditioning, lighting and audio-visual equipment.
"The Crestron system can activate appliances, such as a coffee maker or espresso machine downstairs, turn on lights when someone approaches a door at night, or turn music on and off in different areas of the home, according to schedule," Goeth said.
Among the most popular entertainment venues at Tuscan Cliffs is the home theater, available in all four floor plans. Showcased in the Villa de Gabriella model home, it features multi-level theater seating, a theater-quality sound system and a wall-sized screen.
Home theaters can be designed with Kaleidoscope, a server-based system that stores music and movie files.
"The Kaleidoscope system stores all of your entertainment files at one place in the home," Goeth said. "Once it's in the system, you can play multiple files in both video and audio applications. Not only is it convenient and space effective, but it allows residents to have music playing on the patio while different movies are showing in the home theater and media rooms."
Tuscan Cliffs takes socializing seriously with a 1,100- square-foot game room available in the Villa de Giovanni model home.
"It offers space for multiple elements," Goeth said. "In the model home, it includes a media alcove with surround sound and an oversized flat-screen television, a custom poker table, a putting green, a fully equipped bar with seating and a conversation area near the balcony."
A new trend in entertaining at Tuscan Cliffs is wine tasting. Three of the development's four homes are offered with wine cellars or wine storage space.
In the Villa de Rafael model home, the lower level of the casita is shown as a wine grotto, complete with a wine cellar and tables for tasting.
Tuscan Cliffs homes also feature outdoor courtyards, entertainment areas, pools and spas and outdoor kitchens. Each home site in the neighborhood measures at least one-quarter acre, with plenty of room for residents to design their dream pools and spas in addition to outdoor entertainment areas.
Ranging from 4,328 to 6,001 square feet, the homes offer a master suite with a separate retreat, rear patio, central courtyard and common areas.
Standard amenities include stone paver driveways, sand-finished stucco exteriors, stainless steel appliances, exterior stone veneer, 42-inch maple cabinets, granite countertops, 6-foot garden tubs, wood-clad Andersen windows, Kohler plumbing fixtures, stainless steel Viking appliances, wrought iron stair railings and granite counters and vanities.
All homes include outdoor kitchens and disappearing glass doors. In addition, each residence qualifies as an Energy Star home.
Base prices at Tuscan Cliffs start at just over $1 million.
