Volkswagen debuts Service Express

An all-new Service Express program for those on the run has been introduced at Findlay Volkswagen in the Valley Automall.

Service Express was designed by Volkswagen of America and it could not have come at a better time for Suquamish, Wash., businessman Chuck Callahan, who purchased a 2010 Jetta SportWagen.

Because he wants to keep an '04 Volkswagen TDI Golf in the family, his son, Ted, is flying to Las Vegas to drive the family car back home. When he gets to Las Vegas, the express service will not only change the family car's oil and filter but also provide a complimentary multipoint inspection to ensure the ride back to the Northwest is safe.

According to Jeff Kammeier, there is no appointment needed. With dedicated service bays and two technicians working on each car, the program offers quick and efficient service.

"We started the service on March 29," explained Kammeier, fixed operations manager and an eight-year employee of Findlay Volkswagen. "There are various benefits to the program including convenience combined with quick and efficient work done by certified technicians. There is virtually no wait.

"In fact, with this service, customers don't have to worry about getting a shuttle to and from work or home. In most cases, the vehicle owner will be in and out in less than a half hour."

Kammeier said the program was designed to meet the needs of customers and their fast-paced environment.

"It is so important for vehicle owners to properly service their cars," Kammeier said. "Too many times vehicles are neglected and the owners pay the price in expensive repairs so we want to make certain that schedules are followed. With the extremes in weather in Southern Nevada, vehicle maintenance is vitally important to avoid future problems."

To meet the immediate response to the program, Service Express opens at 7 a.m.
