We’ve created a TSA monster

How many stories of absolute stupidity do we have to read before we admit that we've created a monster out of airport security?
In this case, a 4-year-old girl is called a "high security risk" because she hugged her grandmother who was lead away for special screening. The agents said the grandmother might have passed a handgun to the girl. So they searched the child, too. One of the TSA agents at the time said that she's seen handguns hidden in teddybears before.
C'mon, folks. If this were the only case of TSA stupidity we've heard about, then maybe we could pass it off as isolated. But we're hearing about these kinds of things almost every day.
It's time to rethink the whole TSA apparatus. Something is wrong.
