Why don’t Democrats replace Pelosi with Hoyer?

I wonder that every time I see the affable Steny Hoyer representing the Democrats on television, instead of Pelosi.

This morning Rep. Hoyer appeared on all the cable channels to talk about the process by which the House plans to provide transparency on the health care "reform" bill.

He’s articulate. Confident. Funny. Not to put too fine a point on it … he’s everything Nancy Pelosi isn’t.

If I were king of the Democrats (which I most certainly am not), I’d have Hoyer out front, not Nancy Pelosi. Every time.

BTW: Hoyer was in Las Vegas a few weeks back and made some remarks to a small group in one of those fancy suites at Caesars Palace. In his brief remarks he delivered a funny quip about his host, former Las Vegas Mayor Jan Jones.

I can’t repeat it because it was told to me in confidence. But, trust The Complete Las Vegan when he tells you it was very, very funny.

Replace Pelosi with Hoyer! Who’s with me?

Ok. Ok. I know my readership … let’s try that again.

Replace Pelosi with John Boehner! Who’s with me?

7 ways autocomplete can get smarter

Autocomplete is one of the best (or depending on how hastily you push ‘send’ – worst) things in the world. We rely on it so much that Google plans to let us autocomplete whole emails. Here are seven ways predictive input can improve. 1. Recognizing names from previous emails Jakub Kokoszka has a tough name to […]

Movie posters might soon be based on your clicks

You may have thought you left Blockbuster behind, but the basic way we browse movies hasn’t changed all that much. We peruse poster after poster, kind of like walking the aisles of a ‘90s-era video store. That one poster image, meant to appeal to as many people as possible, is often all we see before […]
