Wisconsin rivalry may be over due to scheduling

UNLV has developed a little bit of a rivalry with Wisconsin, but that football series is nearly over.

The teams meet in Saturday's 8 p.m. season opener at Sam Boyd Stadium and again next season at Wisconsin, but there are no more scheduled games between the schools beyond that. UNLV has faced the Badgers more than any other team from a Bowl Championship Series conference. Wisconsin leads the series 6-2.

Future nonconference opponents include Washington State (2011, 2012), Hawaii (2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018), Minnesota (2012, 2013), Arizona (2013, 2014), Navy (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017), UCLA (2015, 2016) and Iowa State (2020, 2021).
