Woman in Wal-Mart brawl charged for son’s involvement
A woman involved in a brawl at an Indiana Wal-Mart earlier this month is being charged for the involvement of her 6-year-old son, WUSA-9 reported.
Amber Stephenson, 34, of Indianapolis, was charged Friday with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and neglect of a dependent. She allegedly started the fight on June 4, according to court documents.
After police arrived to the Wal-Mart, the fight was over but both Stephenson and the other woman, Rebecca Mills, suffered minor injuries.
According to an affidavit, the fight started when Mills, who was using a motorized scooter, complained about a cart of items left in an aisle. Stephenson then appeared and reportedly told her, “You must really hate your life.”
The fight escalated to what you can see in the video. Stephenson is heard in the video saying to her son, “punch (Mills) in her face … punch her in her f—-ing face.”
Stephenson could face jail time on the neglect charge, which is a felony.
