Woodside to host 3 grand opening celebrations today

Today, three new Woodside Homes neighborhoods with 11 model homes will be unveiled in Providence, a master-planned community in the northwestern Las Vegas Valley.

Visitors to this weekend's grand opening events can get cool treats from Fat Daddy's Ice Cream truck from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and a chance to win an Apple iPad2.

Homebuyers could receive $5,000 worth of extras during the event.

The celebration will showcase the debut of Woodside's Madison Creek, Brookstone II and Hearthstone II collections, along with the closeout of the final 15 homes at Somerset.

Madison Creek offers two-story detached homes ranging from 1,468 to 1,883 square feet, including as many as three bedrooms and 2½ baths. In two plans, a versatile loft makes a home office or a recreation space for the kids. Prices start at $124,990.

Priced from $165,990, Brookstone II showcases one- and two-story homes ranging from 1,619 to 2,624 square feet, including as many as four bedrooms and three baths, plus a two-car garage. Design highlights are led by gourmet kitchen islands in every home and versatile bonus rooms in the two largest plans.

Hearthstone II features one- and two-story homes ranging from 1,949 to 3,131 square feet, including as many as four bedrooms and 2½ baths, plus a two- or three-car garage.

A gourmet island kitchen is the centerpiece of every home. All of the two-story plans encompass a bonus room that can be used as a home theater, office, gym or game room.

Prices start at $195,990.

Home shoppers can double their chances of winning an Apple iPad 2 by visiting Somerset, which will hold its own prize drawing.

This neighborhood features one- and two-story homes that range from 2,109 to 4,064 square feet with as many as six bedrooms and three baths. Heading a long list of appointments are gourmet island kitchens with granite countertops and a complete collection of built-in GE Profile appliances. The final homes at Somerset are priced from $219,990.

No matter which neighborhood they choose, residents will share the classic American hometown ambiance, traditions and spirit that inspired the design of Providence, where lifestyle amenities include parks, trails and new schools.

For families with children, the first of two planned elementary schools, Henry and Evelyn Bozarth Elementary, is already open, and the community also will have one middle school in addition to the existing Centennial and Arbor View High Schools.

To join in the Woodside Homes triple-grand opening at Providence, exit the Las Vegas Beltway at Hualapai Way and drive north. Turn left on Farm Road and follow the signs to the Hearthstone II sales office. For additional information, call 702-396-1894 or visit woodside-homes.com.
