YOUR WEEKEND: UNLV Chamber Chorale to host festival

The UNLV Chamber Chorale will host the 25th Annual Invitational Madrigal/Chamber Choir Festival  at 4 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6 in the Lee & Thomas Beam Music Center, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.

The afternoon festival includes performances by chamber ensembles from Chaparral, Clark, Coronado, Del Sol, Durango, Legacy, Palo Verde, and Silverado high schools, Las Vegas Academy, and Grand Canyon University.

The evening festival features performances by ensembles from Basic, Centennial, Desert Oasis, Cheyenne, Foothill , Green Valley, Las Vegas, and Mojave high schools and the College of Southern Nevada.

Both festival sessions will conclude with a brief performance by the UNLV Chamber Chorale, conducted by David Weiller, director of choral studies.
