Commissioners receive new assignments
Clark County Commissioners have received new assignments that changed the composition of several local agency boards.
In their first meeting of 2009 on Monday, commissioners shuffled their positions on boards of directors for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Regional Flood Control District and the Fiscal Affairs Committee of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
In one change, commissioners Lawrence Weekly and Tom Collins will head to the board of the convention and visitors authority, while commission Chairman Rory Reid will no longer serve on that board.
Erik Pappa, a county spokesman, said the changes are routine and happen every other year.
