■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Cashman Field, the 51s’ fifth win in six games lifted them past the Tucson Padres into first place in the Pacific Southern division. Las Vegas (53-47), which hasn’t led its division this late in the season since 2002 — the last time it went to the Pacific Coast League playoffs — leads Tucson (54-49) by a half-game and the Sacramento River Cats (53-49) by one game. ... The 51s scored four in the sixth and three in the seventh, when Jordany Valdespin hit his second homer — a two-run shot — in two games. ... Las Vegas has won 10 of 13 games against Reno (42-61) this season.
