Las Vegas longevity group practices Chinese healing at Sahara West Library

The Longevity meetup group at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave., practices the time-honored Chinese healing modality of Chang Sen Xue, which translates to study of long life. The Las Vegas group operates in conjunction with Longevity USA. The goal is to train individuals to not only heal themselves but also to reach out to those who suffer from pain, illness or distress.

“This is something everybody can do to help family and friends,” said Dana Goulston, facilitator. “All preconceptions and judgments aside, it is effective, and what makes it different from all other healing modalities on the planet is that there’s no charge for the sessions or the teaching. (It’s important because) it’s altruistic. It comes from the heart, a giving of love. It can sound hokey, but why else have we had as many as 60 people show up here?”

Coordinator Maggie Chen agreed, adding, “It’s not a cure, but it makes your life better.”
