Nevada retail employment down 15,200 during recession

Nevada lost 8,800 retail jobs in 2009 and total retail employment is down 15,200 jobs since the start of the recession two years ago, the Retail Association of Nevada reported Thursday.

Penn National Gaming reports fourth quarter loss

Penn National Gaming Thursday said it lost $355.4 million, or $4.54 per share, in the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31. That compared with a loss of $378.6 million, or $4.77 per share, in the same quarter a year ago.
