Niara Smith had 17 points Monday to lead the Cimarron-Memorial girls basketball team to a 46-43 home victory over Palo Verde.

Centennial junior Alexis Gourrier won the Sunset regional cross country championship and helped the Bulldogs to the team title.
Green Valley senior Omar Rubio won the Sunrise regional cross country meet as the Gators coasted to the team championship.
