State lawmakers introduced 141 new bills Monday in what was the busiest day yet in the 120-day Nevada Legislature. And they are expected to introduce at least that many Tuesday.

Senate Bill 259, which was introduced on Monday, would allow doctors licensed in other jurisdictions to practice in Nevada under a provisional six-month license while the medical licensing boards consider their applications.
About 30 people rallied on Monday in Las Vegas in support of Assembly Bill 236, which would reform Nevada’s criminal justice system.
A bipartisan bill that would remove the statute of limitations on reporting and prosecuting sex crimes where DNA evidence has been collected is running into a partial snag due to the lack of a statewide standard on how long unprocessed rape kits must be retained.
