Gov. Steve Sisolak is donating his second-quarter salary to Nevada’s public schools, the second time this year he has signed over his paycheck to help the state’s schools.

Gov. Steve Sisolak says state school districts will receive money promised by extending a state payroll tax despite a lawsuit by Senate Republicans challenging its legality.
Friday’s vote authorized UNLV acting President Marta Meana to move forward on the plan to sell $125 million in bonds issued by NSHE to build the 140,000-square-foot building.
Nevada System of Higher Education Chancellor Thom Reilly will not seek an extension after his three-year term ends in 2020, an aide announced Wednesday.
