Bani Duarte’s reaction was captured on video, which was presented to jurors Thursday during the second day of testimony in her trial in Orange County Superior Court.

The Nevada Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Title Max broke state law by offering loans twice as long as state law allows, thus overcharging customers, but the company won’t have to pay damages because it didn’t willfully violate the law.
Prosecutors had leveled elderly exploitation, theft and perjury charges against the 52-year-old veteran of the force.
