The facilities – which cost a total of about $80 million – opened to students in August at the Charleston, Henderson and North Las Vegas campuses.
Education
Audrey James — a retired teacher who lives in North Las Vegas — is believed to be UNLV’s oldest living alumna. And she may also be the university’s first African American graduate.
The Sloan Canyon campus – which spans 14 acres in quickly-growing west Henderson – has about 1,250 students in kindergarten through ninth grades.
