UNLV’s season ended Thursday after getting outscored by 21 points in the second half by Utah State in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West basketball tournament.

The Rebels played perhaps their most complete game of the season, rolling past Air Force on Wednesday at the Thomas & Mack Center to advance to play Utah State.
Five conferences will hold men’s and women’s basketball tournaments this week and next in Las Vegas. Unlike last year, all are expected to be played to their conclusions.
