Liberty and Rancho rolled to victories Thursday at Faith Lutheran to set up a matchup for the Class 4A girls state volleyball championship.

Both are Class 5A state volleyball semifinalists, but Gorman has been the state’s top program in the past five seasons, while Centennial has been rebuilding this season.
The Bishop Gorman boys and Desert Oasis girls claimed their first cross country state championships at the Class 4A meet Friday.
The spring sports season was limited to six weeks, with some teams’ seasons even shorter because of COVID, but players and coaches were just happy to get back on the field.
