Bishop Gorman scored off two early Liberty turnovers and never looked back in a home win in its Class 5A Division I league opener Thursday night.

All Southern Nevada high school football games will be held on Thursday with the Rosh Hashanah holiday beginning Friday evening.
With Liberty and Gorman often meeting in the postseason, Patriots coach Rich Muraco said he’s looking at the positives of getting an early look at the state title favorite.
