A late turnover helped the Bishop Gorman boys basketball team defeat Coronado to win the Class 5A state title Friday night at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Coronado and Bishop Gorman will play for the Class 5A boys basketball state title at 7 p.m. Friday after the teams were victorious in their state semifinals Thursday.
The top four Class 5A boys basketball teams — Coronado, Liberty, Bishop Gorman and Arbor View — will play for the state title Thursday and Friday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Pharaoh Compton had 28 points, eight rebounds and six blocked shots to lead the Aggies to a road win over the Cougars in a game that was rescheduled twice.
