Diego Nieves and Ruben Ortiz each scored a goal Wednesday to lead Del Sol’s boys soccer team to a 2-1 road win over No. 4 Tech.
Hannah Goddard had 10 kills and seven aces Thursday as Arbor View’s girls volleyball team swept visiting Cheyenne, 25-10, 25-14, 25-12.
Palo Verde outside hitter Michael Simister didn’t get the outcome he had envisioned a season ago when the Panthers were ousted in the Sunset Region semifinals by Shadow Ridge.
Sonja Lawrence went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs as Centennial’s softball team secured the Northwest League title with a 17-4, six-inning win at Desert Oasis on Thursday.
A.J. Landis and Nolan Kingham combined on a five-hitter Thursday to lead Desert Oasis’ baseball team to the Northwest League title with a 3-1 victory over visiting Centennial.
Donta Williams’ two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning capped a four-run rally, and Legacy’s baseball team edged visiting Foothill 10-9 on Friday to earn its first victory of the season.
Klarissa Hernandez went 3-for-4, and Sunrise Mountain’s softball team scored four times in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday to pull out a 6-5 victory over visiting Tech.
Tyler Gralapp had 13 kills and 11 digs Tuesday to help Silverado’s boys volleyball team rally for a 25-11, 19-25, 20-25, 30-28, 15-12 win at Eldorado.
