Summerlin artist uses brush to help block out city blight

What used to be an empty dirt lot with barren walls, dying plants and broken glass was transformed after muralist Nja Onê unveiled her newest work May 25 as part of the neighborhood beautification project commissioned by the Gateway Arts Foundation, 9113 Lazy Hill Circle.

West African artist’s works travel to Las Vegas

The West African country of Cameroon is a bit closer to North Las Vegas thanks to artist Angu Walters. The 30-year-old painter is a splash of color in a din of poverty and political unrest, said Chuck Cavanaugh, the Southwest resident who helped put Walters’ name on the lips of Las Vegas artists.
