Led by Parker Schmidt, Chaison Miklich, Jason Sharman and Josh Sharman, the Aces have their sights set on getting back to the American Legion state title game, after losing to Basic in the final last season.

After struggling through a 9-20 season in the spring, the Southern Nevada Bengals, as they are known during the summer, rolled through the Connie Mack American league with a 12-4 record this summer, and are looking for their second straight state title when the tournament begins Friday.
UNLV shortstop Bryson Stott, who also went to Desert Oasis High School, made the 26-man USA Baseball Collegiate National team for an international series. Team USA will play Japan in various U.S. cities from Tueday to Sunday and at Cuba on July 10-14.
