4 wins in a row and looking for more

We are finally coming together as a team and because of that we have put four straight wins together. We swept Air Force last weekend and had a walk-off win over UC Riverside on Tuesday.

Ninth-inning infield single lifts UNLV to 5-4 baseball victory

Austin Anderson’s infield single in the ninth inning scored Morgan Stotts with the winning run as the UNLV baseball team beat UC Riverside 5-4 on Tuesday at Wilson Stadium. Stotts had three hits and scored twice for the Rebels.

It’s time for things to turn around

This season it feels like we have been snakebitten a little bit. We have lost 10 games by one run and we’ve been walked off five times. I think there are two ways we could look at it.

Rebels force extras, but fall to UC Riverside

Vince Fernandez hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift UC Riverside to an 8-6 home victory over the UNLV baseball team in a wild game on Tuesday afternoon.

Last week I think we got our swagger back a little bit. We had a big win over Arizona State, which I talked about in my last post, and then we took that momentum on the road and won our series over Ohio State.

Squier’s sacrifice fly lifts UNLV to 3-2 baseball win at Ohio State

Payton Squier’s eighth-inning sacrifice fly brought home the decisive run Saturday in UNLV’s 3-2 win over Ohio State in a nonconference baseball game in Columbus, Ohio. Rebels starter D.J. Myers held Ohio State to two runs on six hits and one walk and struck out six in 6 1/3 innings.

Back on the road after a wild, Wednesday morning win

We picked up a huge win over No. 5 Arizona State this week and that was really good for our guys. The game was a little weird as we were scheduled to play on Tuesday night. We got a couple innings in then, but because of a lighting issue we had to put the game on hold.

Rebels rally to defeat No. 5 Arizona State, end seven-game losing streak

UNLV came back from a 5-1 deficit to beat Arizona State 7-6 on Wednesday, completing a game that was suspended Tuesday night because of a power failure. The Sun Devils are the highest-ranked team the Rebels have beaten since defeating No. 3 Cal State Fullerton 8-6 in 2003.

Lighting failure stalls UNLV rally, suspends game vs. Arizona State

The UNLV-Arizona State baseball game Tuesday night at Wilson Stadium was suspended after the lights on the first-base side went out. The teams resume at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Sun Devils ahead 5-2, but the Rebels have the bases loaded with one out.

Austin Byler had a home run, a triple and three RBIs, and Cameron Rowland pitched seven strong innings Saturday to lift UNR to a 6-2 win over UNLV and a three-game sweep of the Mountain West baseball series. The Rebels have lost seven straight games.
