The Aces defeated the New York Liberty 85-72 on Wednesday night at Mandalay Bay Events Center to tie the Dallas Wings for the WNBA’s eighth and final playoff spot with two games remaining.
The Aces, in the midst of a four-game winning streak, fumbled an opportunity to claim another signature victory, and were outscored 35-15 in the fourth quarter en route to a 99-78 loss at Mandalay Bay Events Center.
The Aces signed Shoni Schimmel over the weekend, hoping she can alleviate some of their 3-point shooting woes. She last played for the New York Liberty under Aces coach Bill Laimbeer in 2016 and is a two-time all-star.
