James Katona’s RBI triple with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning on Friday gave Liberty’s baseball team a 2-1 win over visiting SLAM Academy.
Alejandra Olan went 5-for-5 on Friday to help Desert Pines’ softball team hold on for an 18-16 win at Del Sol.
Antwon Jackson, a burly 6-foot-7 throwback post player signed to Arkansas State, imposed his will on the Patriots en route to 26 points, 13 rebounds and a 69-47 victory for the home-standing Chargers (22-4).
Liberty’s Hayden Prasad scored his second goal of the game with 15 minutes remaining Monday, and the visiting Patriots knocked off Bishop Gorman 2-1 in boys soccer.
Isabella Skrinjaric scored the game’s lone goal as Legacy’s girls soccer team battled out a 1-0 home win over Eldorado on Monday.
Coronado’s boys golf shot a two-day total of 23-over-par 599 as a team to win the Class 4A state golf tournament at Reflection Bay Golf Club on Tuesday. It was the Cougars’ first title since 2012, and Coronado players celebrated by jumping into Lake Las Vegas.
Sierra Rivera’s RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday lifted Del Sol’s softball team past the visiting Mojave, 15-14.

Jordan Stinnett hit a tiebreaking two-run double in the top of the sixth inning, and Basic’s softball team defeated host Green Valley 8-6 on Wednesday.
