Tyler Edlefsen and Trajan Houston each won two individual events Saturday at Pavilion to lead Palo Verde’s boys swimming team to a 213-70 win over Faith Lutheran.
Allison Wiegand won two individual events on Saturday to lead Silverado’s girls swimming team to a 116-85 victory over Canyon Springs at Multi-Generational.
Palo Verde’s Makena Martin was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs Wednesday as the host Panthers nipped Shadow Ridge in softball, 5-4.
Boulder City’s boys made it somewhat interesting by scoring 110 points to defeat second-place Sierra Vista by 25 points. But the girls dominated throughout, scoring 156 points to easily get past second-place Truckee, which finished with 111 points. It was the sixth consecutive championship for the Eagles’ boys and the fourth straight for the girls.
Dewayne Alexander scored 14 points, including two free throws in the final seconds, to lead Cheyenne’s boys basketball team to a 62-60 victory over visiting Western on Thursday.
Koreyl Godbolt had 20 points and 10 rebounds Thursday as Cheyenne’s girls basketball team held on to upset visiting Western 48-43 in a Division I-A Sunset League game.
