Palo Verde’s Jack Trent shot 3-under-par 69 in the final round and finished with a two-round total of 5-under 139 to earn his second consecutive individual state title.
Led by junior Jack Trent, the Panthers’ five scoring golfers combined to play the final nine holes in 2 over par, and Palo Verde grabbed the lead after the opening round of the Division I state tournament at Reflection Bay.
Cameron Meeks’ steady play late in the round helped him hold off teammates Jack Trent and Jun Oshimoto for medalist honors, and Palo Verde ran away with the team title at the Division ISunset Region boys golf tournament on Wednesday.
