Savon Scarver won two individual events Friday, and the Centennial boys track team took control after the first day of the Skyhawk Invitational at Silverado.
Aaron Johnson and Marlon Harrison each won an individual event and finished second in another to lead Las Vegas’ boys track and field team to the title at the Valley Relays on Saturday at Valley High.
Justin Pearson swept the throws Wednesday to lead Green Valley’s boys track team to victory in a three-team home meet.
Foothill’s Charles Shepherd won the discus and placed third in the shot put, and the Falcons swept the relays to edge host Silverado 71-66 in boys track on Tuesday.
Liberty won the boys and girls team titles at the Liberty Invitational on Saturday, beating out Coronado for both victories.
The Centennial girls track team won eight events at the Heikotter Invitational at Faith Lutheran on Saturday, running away with the team score and defending its title from the last season. Centennial’s boys team won five events to win the meet, also winning for the second year in a row.
The Skyhawks bring back 15 lettermen from last year’s state championship team.
