Boys Volleyball
Kade Frischknecht had 13 kills, 13 digs and six blocks Friday to lead Centennial’s boys volleyball team to a 23-25, 25-19, 25-7, 25-17 win over visiting Silverado.
Trevor Papock’s 29 assists, three kills, two aces and eight digs helped Gorman’s boys volleyball team rally for a 22-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-15 road win over Durango on Thursday.
Haakon Hunsaker had four kills to lead Tech’s boys volleyball team past Western 25-19, 19-25, 25-19, 27-25 on Thursday.
Treven Clizbe finished with 15 kills, five aces, five digs and four blocks to lead Arbor View’s boys volleyball team to a 25-18, 25-23, 25-20 road win over Centennial in a battle of top Sunset Region teams on Wednesday.
Juan Valdez provided 32 assists, and Mojave’s boys volleyball team maintained its hold on first place in the Class 3A Southern League with a 25-19, 25-21, 25-16 win over host Cheyenne on Tuesday.
Grant Tingey had eight kills and six blocks to help Palo Verde’s boys volleyball team rally for a 19-25, 26-28, 27-25, 25-19, 15-11 road win over Arbor View on Monday.

Palo Verde earned its third league win of the season by taking down the Centennial Bulldogs 25-22, 25-19, 25-22 in straight sets in surprising fashion.
Troy Bell finished with 45 digs to lead Foothill’s boys volleyball team to a 25-21, 19-25, 25-20, 21-25, 17-15 road win over Basic on Thursday.
Emerald Ascasili had 16 kills, and Trevor White added 12 kills to help Sunrise Mountain’s boys volleyball team top visiting Del Sol 25-15, 25-21, 23-25, 19-25, 15-11 on Wednesday.
After dropping the first set at Foothill, Green Valley rallied for a 20-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-17 win Tuesday night.
Jordan Miller had 18 kills, eight digs and two blocks Tuesday to lead Shadow Ridge’s boys volleyball team to a 29-27, 19-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-13 home victory over Arbor View.
Will Hafen had 16 kills and four aces Monday to help Bishop Gorman’s boys volleyball team to a 25-13, 25-19, 23-25, 25-16 win over visiting Sierra Vista.
